Tickets are now available for the Miller Art Museum’s 50th Anniversary Celebration and Fundraising Gala, which will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at the Door County Granary on Sturgeon Bay’s west waterfront. The event is set to begin at 5:30 p.m.
The gala marks a significant milestone for the museum, celebrating its half-century of service as a center for creativity and community engagement in Door County. Since its founding in 1975 by artist Gerhard CFMiller, the Miller Art Museum has become an important cultural institution in the region.
“This celebration is about so much more than marking 50 years—it’s about honoring the people, the Miller’s vision, and the shared commitment that have made the Miller Art Museum what it is today. We’re excited to gather in such a meaningful space, surrounded by friends old and new––those that have shaped who we are––and to dream about the future we will create together.”
The event will take place at the recently restored Door County Granary. Once a grain elevator, it has been converted into an event venue with timber framing that will serve as a backdrop for dinner and activities. Guests attending can expect a plated dinner prepared by Crave Cuisine and music from Grammy-nominated cellist Hans Christian. The evening will also feature live and silent auctions along with opportunities to participate in a paddle raise benefiting museum programs.
Admission includes dinner and access to all activities during the evening. Organizers encourage early ticket purchases due to limited seating. More information and tickets are available at https://tinyurl.com/5x3uhsvr.
“The community is invited to join in celebrating what the organization has accomplished, where it is today, and where it is going. In advance, we thank our community for the generous support in helping the Miller Art Museum to grow and serve our community in a greater capacity!” said Elizabeth Meissner-Gigstead, Executive Director of Miller Art Museum.
