There were 1,013 students enrolled in Sturgeon Bay School District in the 2024-25 school year, 4.9% less than the previous year, according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2024-25 school year, 53.6% identified themselves as boys, 46.4% as girls.

Data also shows that most of the students were white, accounting for 74.8% of the Sturgeon Bay School District total enrollment.

Sturgeon Bay School District covers four schools within Door County, with its main office in Sturgeon Bay.

Among the four schools in the district, Sturgeon Bay High School recorded the highest enrollment of 348 students in the 2024-25 school year.

Wisconsin had a student-to-teacher ratio of 14-to-1 in 2025, lower than the national average of 16-to-1, according to Public School Review.
