There were 1,001 students enrolled in Southern Door County School District in the 2024-25 school year, 0.3% more than the previous year, according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2024-25 school year, 53.6% identified themselves as boys, 46.4% as girls.

Data also shows that most of the students were white, accounting for 87.5% of the Southern Door County School District total enrollment.

Southern Door County School District covers four schools within Door County, with its main office in Brussels.

Among the four schools in the district, Southern Door Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 482 students in the 2024-25 school year.

Wisconsin ranks 22nd in the U.S. for public education spending, with an annual expenditure of over $16,500 per pupil, totaling $13.8 billion per year.
