FOIA Request to Forest County Regarding Vendor Payments in 2024 on September 26th.
NE Wisconsin News, a media organization dedicated to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, has sent a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., for records of all payments made to vendors from January 1st, 2024 till September 26th, 2024.
The requested records are expected to include details such as the vendor name, transaction date, transaction description, and amount. As a media organization committed to transparency and accountability in public institutions, we believe access to these public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities.
In the spirit of promoting transparency and holding public institutions accountable, we have asked for a fee waiver as a media professional. This request aligns with our ongoing commitment to disseminate information that promotes understanding of local government operations among the public.
