Census Bureau: 4.4% of people in Menominee County identified as multiracial in 2021

Of the 4,318 citizens living in Menominee County in 2021, 95.6% said they were only one race, while 4.4% said they were two or more races, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained in June.

The most prevalent racial group among citizens in Menominee County who reported being of a single race in 2021 was American Indian or Alaska Native, comprising 83.8% or 3,620 individuals. Following them, white accounted for 11.2% and totaled 483 individuals.

The percentage of multiracial residents in Menominee County is the same as the state average, which stands at 4.4%.
