Notice to Eligible Electors Residing in Marinette Municipal Ward

City of Marinette issued the following announcement on Sept. 23

Due to the recent resignation of former City of Marinette Ward 4 Alderperson, Dave Anderson, the City of Marinette Common Council is seeking letters of interest from eligible voters residing within City of Marinette Ward 4 who are interested in representing Ward 4 residents on the City of Marinette Common Council. Interested individuals should submit their letter of interest to: City of Marinette, C/O Mayor’s Office, 1905 Hall Ave., Marinette, WI 54143 no later than Friday October 1st, 2021. The City of Marinette Common Council may appoint a new Alderperson to the vacant Ward 4 seat at the upcoming Tuesday October 5, 2021 Common Council meeting. 

Appointee shall be appointed for an abbreviated term expiring April 18, 2022. Appointee shall be eligible to file nomination papers in December 2021 for name placement, as incumbent candidate, upon the April 5th, 2022 Spring Election ballot. Interested applicants can also reference City of Marinette’s website to review a City of Marinette ward boundary map to determine if they reside within that ward.
