FOIA Request to Village of Wausaukee Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.

In our continued commitment to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at NE Wisconsin News have sent a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., to the Village of Wausaukee.

The request, dated November 7, 2024, seeks information about new voter registrations that took place on November 5, 2024. As a media organization dedicated to transparency and public accountability, we believe it is crucial for the public to have access to this kind of information.

We rely heavily on public records in our reporting process and believe that such access is vital for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. This includes holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public.

Given our role in disseminating information to the public, we have requested a fee waiver as a media professional for this particular request. We are awaiting a response from the Village of Wausaukee regarding this matter.

As always, we will continue our work in gathering and reporting news with accuracy and integrity. We remain committed to keeping you informed about local governmental affairs.
