FOIA Request to Village of Egg Harbor Regarding Same Day Registered Voters for 2024 Election on November 7, 2024.
In our ongoing commitment to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at NE Wisconsin News have sent a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., to the Village of Egg Harbor.
Our request specifically seeks a list of new voters who registered to vote on November 5, 2024. This information is critical in our efforts to hold public institutions accountable and ensure transparency for the public.
As a media organization, we believe access to public records is essential in fulfilling our professional responsibilities. We have therefore requested that any fees associated with this request be waived given our role in disseminating information to the public.
