FOIA Request to Town Of Goodman Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.

As part of our ongoing commitment to transparency and accountability in local government affairs, we at NE Wisconsin News have submitted a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., for a list of new voters who registered on Election Day, November 5, 2024.

The requested information is vital for our news coverage as it allows us to provide comprehensive and accurate reporting to the public. Access to such public records enables us to fulfill our professional responsibilities which include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public.

Given our role in disseminating information to the public, we believe we are eligible for a fee waiver as a media professional. We await the response from the Town Of Goodman and will continue with our commitment towards ensuring transparency in local governmental affairs.
