FOIA Request to Town of Commonwealth Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.

As part of our ongoing commitment to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at NE Wisconsin News have submitted a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., for a list of new voters who registered to vote on November 5, 2024.

Our mission as a media organization is to hold public institutions accountable and provide transparency to the public. Access to public records such as these is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. We believe that by disseminating this information, we can contribute significantly towards maintaining an informed citizenry.

We have requested these records in electronic format for ease of analysis and dissemination. As a media organization, we have also asked for a fee waiver in accordance with our role in gathering and reporting news to the public.

We will continue our efforts in keeping the public informed about their local government’s activities and ensuring transparency within our community.
