FOIA Request to Town of Beaver Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.

In our ongoing commitment to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at NE Wisconsin News have sent a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., to the Town of Beaver. We have asked for a list of new voters who registered to vote on November 5, 2024.

As a media organization dedicated to holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public, access to these public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. We believe that as members of the media involved in gathering and reporting news to the public, we are eligible for a fee waiver as media professionals.

We await a response from the Town of Beaver and will continue to provide updates as this story develops.
