FOIA Request to Menominee County Regarding Vendor Payments from January 1, 2024, till September 26, 2024.

In our ongoing commitment to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at NE Wisconsin News have sent a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., to Menominee County. The request was made on September 26, 2024.

We are seeking access to a list of all payments made to vendors by the county from January 1, 2024, until September 26, 2024. The information requested includes vendor names, transaction dates, transaction descriptions, and amounts.

As an organization dedicated to holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public through our reporting efforts, we believe that access to these records is essential. We have therefore asked for a fee waiver as a media professional in accordance with our role in disseminating information.

Our team will continue to keep you updated as we gather and report news related to this request and other matters of public interest. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need further clarification regarding this matter.
